Headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, where its roots date back to 1828, Citizens Financial Group, Inc. is one of the oldest and largest financial services firms in the United States. As the 13th largest retail bank in the country, they deliver a broad range of financial services to over five million individuals, companies, not for profits, and institutions. Citizens wanted to enhance the way customers use their services on their website and mobile applications.

Partnering with the client, we conducted extensive research on their user base to find ways of streamlining various interactions. Working closely with the Citizens Bank mobile team, we provided enhancements to their mobile applications on a regular basis and helped keep them moving at pace with the industry.

The online banking experience for Citizens Bank customers needed to be refreshed with a design that met the expectations of today’s user experience and web standards. Staying true to the core pillars of the brand (Simple, Clear and Personal), we consolidated and enhanced the site architecture; elevated and refined the visual design; and built the site on a responsive framework in order to provide users with an optimal experience no matter what device they choose to access their accounts from.
